A Fall Home Fragrance Collection Inspired by Memory
Autumn rarely arrives all at once.
It begins with a cooler morning. A golden edge appearing on the leaves. The first apple cider of the season, the return of a favorite sweater, or the quiet realization that evening has begun arriving a little earlier than it did before.
We remember autumn through these small things.
Not simply by how the season looked, but by how it felt—the warmth of cinnamon in the kitchen, apples resting in an old wooden shed, pumpkins gathered beneath an open sky, and the soft glow of a lantern after sunset.
And perhaps that is why I love fall in the Pacific Northwest so much.
There is something about living here that makes autumn feel almost cinematic.
The mornings turn crisp. The trees begin to change. The mountains seem to sit a little more quietly in the distance, and suddenly the farms that dot the landscape become the perfect place to spend an afternoon.
You can pull on a warm sweater, slip into a corduroy skirt with tights and boots, and head out with nowhere particular to be.
Maybe you pick your own pumpkins. Maybe you wander through a corn maze or take a hayride through the fields. You stop for cider donuts still warm from the fryer, their tops dusted in cinnamon and sugar. You carry a cup of hot apple cider or a pumpkin spice latte while you browse jars of apple jam, pumpkin butter, fresh bread, and all the other little treasures that seem to appear at a farm stand this time of year.
The weather is cool, but not yet bitter. The afternoons are golden. And for a little while, it feels perfectly acceptable to slow down and simply enjoy the season.
If there is one thing the Pacific Northwest gets exactly right, it is fall.
Fall here feels like an invitation to be outside, to gather something beautiful, to eat something warm, to spend an afternoon doing absolutely nothing important—and then to bring a little of that feeling home with you.
And eventually, you go home.
You change into something comfortable. You put your boots by the door. You bring your pumpkins inside. Maybe you make dinner, put the kettle on, and light a candle as the sun begins to disappear.
That beautiful afternoon doesn't have to end at the farm.
It can follow you home.
That is the feeling behind Autumn, Remembered.
I wanted to create a fall home fragrance collection that felt less like a collection of seasonal scents and more like a collection of memories.
The warmth of cinnamon in the kitchen.
Apples resting in an old wooden shed.
Pumpkins gathered beneath an open sky.
The sweetness of vanilla on a quiet Sunday morning.
A lantern glowing after sunset.
The crispness of leaves beneath your feet.
The smoky warmth of a fire on a cool evening.
These are the little things we remember about autumn—not simply how the season looked, but how it felt.
The Fragrances of Autumn, Remembered
Each fragrance in the collection was created around one of those familiar autumn moments.
Old Apple Shed is the apple season tucked away somewhere in memory—crisp apple skin, elemi, and pink pepper with an unexpected brightness.
Lantern Hour is the quiet warmth that arrives when afternoon becomes evening, with bourbon vanilla, brown sugar, amber, and a soft touch of mandarin and grapefruit.
Pumpkin Pickin’ is autumn at the farm. Roasted pumpkin, cinnamon leaf, incense, amber, and vanilla bean create the warm, spiced fragrance that has already become one of the collection’s favorites.
Cider Mill is the afternoon spent wandering through the farm market with a cup of warm cider in hand—apple, ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. It is the kind of fall candle that makes you want to stay awhile.
Vanilla Sunday is softer. Sweeter. The kind of morning when you have nowhere you need to be. Marshmallow, berries, vanilla, and tonka bean make it feel like staying home is exactly where you should be.
Cinnamon & Corduroy is sweater weather in fragrance form. Orange peel, juniper, smoked cinnamon, clove, and cedar bring the warmth of a favorite corduroy jacket and a cool autumn afternoon.
And October Skies is the season just before winter begins to announce itself—dry leaves, soil, smoke, black tea, cardamom, and vetiver beneath a wide autumn sky.
Together, they tell a story.
Not one particular autumn, but the many little moments that make us say, I remember this.
Bringing Autumn Home
Autumn, Remembered isn't limited to candles.
Because fragrance has a way of transforming the ordinary rituals of home.
A candle glowing on the kitchen counter while dinner is prepared.
A mist of Interior Spray through the living room before guests arrive.
Fresh linens carrying a familiar autumn scent.
The simple ritual of washing dishes at the end of the evening.
Even caring for the floors beneath your feet can become part of the experience.
These are the everyday moments I wanted to make a little more beautiful.
Because a beautiful season shouldn't only be admired outside your window.
It should be experienced throughout your home.
And when the pumpkins have been gathered, the cider has been poured, the last of the leaves have fallen, and the afternoon at the farm becomes a memory, perhaps the fragrance of cinnamon still lingers in the kitchen.
Perhaps a candle is glowing beside you.
Perhaps, for just a moment, you're back there again.
Autumn, remembered.
