A Different Kind of Black Friday

A Different Kind of Black Friday

Hello Darling,

Today is the loudest shopping day of the year — but my heart felt pulled toward something quieter.

I didn’t wake up today ready to compete with massive discounts or flashing sales graphics. I didn’t feel the urge to slash my prices or fight to be heard above the noise. Instead, I stood in my studio this morning, looked around at the candles cooling on my table, the ribbons, the labels, and the tools I’ve held for years… and I felt something else.

I felt peace in choosing my own pace.

I’ve poured candles late at night with soft music playing in the background and my children sleeping down the hall. I’ve wrapped packages on quiet Sundays, hand-tied bows when the world wasn’t watching, and prayed over this small dream more times than I can count.

For me, this work has never been fast. And I don’t want it to be.

So today, instead of rushing into a sale, I chose to honor the heart behind my brand.

I chose to show up the way small business owners do — with intention, with honesty, and with hope.

I even bought from a few small businesses myself, because I know what it feels like to be on the other side… refreshing your analytics, hoping someone sees you, hoping someone believes in what you make.

And if you’re reading this, please know: you being here already means more than you know.

Today isn’t about pressure.

It’s about presence.

Thank you for showing up for my little corner of the world.

It means everything.

All my love,

Sophia
